In Windows 8, you are forced to boot
in the start screen, when you login. But most of the user prefer to stick into
Desktop rather the Start Screen. In Windows 8.1, now you can directly boot to
Desktop. To change this setting, login into user account and click the Desktop
tile.
- Right-click on an empty area of the Taskbar and choose Properties.
- Click the Navigation tab and make a check mark on “When I sign in or close all apps on screen, go to the Desktop instead of Start”, and apply the changes.
- Log out from your account by right-clicking on Start button move your pointer to “Shut down or sign out” and then click Sign Out.
Now, login back to your
account, and this time you will directed to your favorite desktop screen instead of start screen.
