Whenever you start Windows 8.1 / 10, you are presented with the
lock screen. You have to slide up, or click with your mouse, to get the login
screen. If you did rather skip the login screen, every time you boot into
windows, and jump directly to the login screen, then here is a small trick,
that you need to apply.
Right-click on the Start button, to open Power X menu, or
press Windows + X from your keyboard. Click the Run command, and then type GPEDIT.MSC,
in the open box.
Within from GPEDIT
window, expand Administrative Templates under Computer Configuration, and then expand
Control Panel, and click Personalization. From the right side pane,
double-click “Do not display the lock screen” setting. Enable the setting, and
apply the changes. Now, restart the computer, and this time you will get
directly into the login screen.
