How To Disable Lock Screen in Windows 10 / 8.1 / 8

Whenever you start Windows 8.1 / 10, you are presented with the lock screen. You have to slide up, or click with your mouse, to get the login screen. If you did rather skip the login screen, every time you boot into windows, and jump directly to the login screen, then here is a small trick, that you need to apply.

Right-click on the Start button, to open Power X menu, or press Windows + X from your keyboard. Click the Run command, and then type GPEDIT.MSC, in the open box.

Within from GPEDIT window, expand Administrative Templates under Computer Configuration, and then expand Control Panel, and click Personalization. From the right side pane, double-click “Do not display the lock screen” setting. Enable the setting, and apply the changes. Now, restart the computer, and this time you will get directly into the login screen.
