After a fresh installation of
Windows, you only see the Recycle Bin icon on your desktop. To show or hide
other system icons on your desktop, from the Start Screen, type “Desktop
Icons”, and then click, “Show or hide common icons on the desktop”, from the
search results. Within from Desktop Icon Settings, make a check mark on those
icons that you wish to have on your desktop, and press OK button.
You can also access “Desktop Icon
Settings” by right-clicking on your Desktop, and choose Personalize. Click
Change Desktop Icons from the left side pane. You can also change the icon
style by clicking the Change Icon button, and then choose an appropriate style,
or you can revert to the original, by clicking Restore Default button.
