The first thing that you are
going to notice in Windows 10 is the, Start Menu. Yes, it is back now! And it
is improved. You know have the old classic start menu, along with Windows App
on the right side pane. The Shut Down menu has been added on the top of the
Start Menu, for your convenient. Moreover, you can add more of your favorite
apps to the right side pane, for easy access. Just right-click on an app, and
choose “Pin To Start”, and it will get added right to your new Start Menu. If
you want to add a lot more apps to the right of your Start Menu, then you can
right-click on the icon, choose resize, and make them smaller, so the Start
Menu may not get clutter with a bunch of icons. You can easily remove any app
from the right pane of the Start Menu, just by right-clicking, and unpinning it
from Start. You can even drag and drop the icons, and can place them to
suitable place for easy access.
Not only that, if you are
familiar with Windows 8 Start Screen, then you can revert the new Windows 10 Start
Menu back to the Start Screen. Right-click on an empty area within the Start
Menu, and choose Properties, or right-click on the Taskbar, and choose
Properties. Click Start Menu tab, and uncheck the option, “Use the Start Menu
instead of Start Screen”. Apply the changes. You need to Sign Out and Sign In
again to your account, for the changes to take effect. Click Sign Out and
Change Settings. Log in Back, and here you have the Start Screen back in front
of you.
